About LawPal

A legal tool that shows its working.

LawPal is built and run by Olee AI (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka. It does the reading, the record-keeping and the drafting of a practice, and it puts the source beside everything it shows.

Four rules LawPal keeps.

They decide what the product does and, as much, what it refuses to do.

01

Nothing stated without its source

Every passage LawPal shows carries the judgment, the section or the paper it came from. Where the material doesn't answer a question, LawPal says so rather than filling the gap.

02

No advice, and no prediction

LawPal never recommends a course of action, never ranks the chances and never forecasts how a case will end. Reading the law is LawPal's work; judgement stays with the Attorney-at-Law.

03

It never files, serves or sends

Nothing in LawPal lodges a document with a court, serves a party or sends a notice. A finished draft is ready for a person to take to the registry, and that is all.

04

A firm's papers are the firm's

What a firm uploads or writes belongs to the firm. It answers only that firm's own questions, and the firm can export all of it or have it deleted.

The people who build it.

Lawyers who know how a Sri Lankan practice works, and the engineers who put that into software.

Milinda Randeniya
